Instead oif one pair, you may want to bring two - one nice, & then either flip flops or boots, depending on the climate.

* Alarm: A time change can really thow you off. Instead of missing a really fun part of your active adventure because you are still going by a different time zone, it always helps to have an alarm clock. Most newer phones and PDA's can do this double duty for you - just make sure to check before you leave.

* Medication: This 1 is vitally important. Medications keep us healthy & for some people - can literally mean the difference between life or death. Think about heart patients & asthmatics, to name a few. So bring everyone's medications. Don't forget the prescriptions or doctor's orders so you can prove you actually need them and they are legal and not contraband.

* Sundries: Don't forget about your toiletries. While some are offered by most resorts & hotels now, such as shampoo & conditioner, many people prefer to have their own with them. Also, for the ladies, don't forget feminine hygiene products!

* Credit cards & cash: It's always a good idea to use international credit cards or travelers checks instead of cash. If you must bring cash, please be careful & keep it locked in a safe as much as feasible. For your cards, if you can bring two, even better - if you lose 1 or the ATM eats it - you have a spare!

These ideas should help you prepare for your next activity vacation while taking the tension out of at least 1 part; packing. High adventure holidays are a blast, just make sure you are prepared so you can spend time enjoying them instead of trying to find the nearest department store to replace forgotten items!
